Apollo & Starbuck are an incredibly beautiful and delightful bonded pair of rabbits, and they could not be more different from each other. Apollo is a hefty, solid 8.5 pounds while Starbuck is a light, delicate 4.25 pounds. Apollo has gray and black salt-and-pepper fur while Starbuck, true to her Himalayan breed, is mostly white with darker markings on her ears and face, which change colors and patterns throughout the year.
But it is in temperament that they are the most different. You would be hard-pressed to find a more gentle, sweet and docile bunny than Apollo. He got his calm personality from his mother, Athena, and has never shown the slightest aggression under any circumstances. You will love the way the white spot on his nose is constantly twitching!
Starbuck, on the other hand, is very opinionated and has no trouble letting you know when she disapproves of something. Completely fearless and strong-willed, she does not like to be told what to do and will stand up to you and give you attitude. She completely dominates Apollo, who loves her more than anything in the world even when she nips him out of jealousy and pushes him away from the food bowl. Because of her forceful personality Starbuck would not be good for young children (under the age of 12). She would do best in an adult, experienced, rabbit-savvy home.
Apollo and Starbuck are a bonded pair and MUST spend their lives together - when they are separated they tend to stop eating and get very depressed. If you can handle the force of nature that is Starbuck, you will be rewarded with a beautiful, active and always entertaining pair of devoted bunnies!
