NOTES: Milagro really lives up to her name, the Spanish word for "miracle". She had been living on her own as a stray for a short time back in January 2009 when she was struck by a car. She suffered a back injury and was unable to stand on her back legs or move around. Sadly, in most cases that would have meant the end of her beautiful life, but we decided to give her some time. Amazingly, she began to heal on her own and in a few short days, she was trying to stand up on her own! After that, she made rapid progress and, much to the astonishment of the veterinarian and everyone at the shelter, Milagro began to hop and move around unassisted. A bit wobbly at first, the hopping turned into running and now, she regularly amazes everyone with her joyful, energetic and enthusiastic running and jumping around the shelter yard!

Milagro is without a doubt, a special, one-of-a-kind bunny who touches the heart of everyone who meets her. Every day for her is a celebration of life and her happiness will make you smile. She deserves nothing less than the best home we can find for her. Maybe that is your family? Come by and meet Milagro - her incredible story and courageous spirit will inspire you each and every day.
