Hi,
Thought you might enjoy a peek into Tasha's new life. She is so much fun. Quirky personality and loads of energy when she isn't sleeping like a rock.
Update to Tasha's Story - October 16, 2008
When we first submitted Tasha's story she had just come to us to be a companion for Rusty. Rusty was one of the bunnies rescued during the 2000 Easter bunny dumping, boy was he a lucky guy.
Tasha and Rusty fell in love right away. Sadly, last fall Rusty crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Tasha was very sad. We began the search for a new companion for her. Little did we know what we were attempting. Tasha soundly rejected every bunny date we arranged for her, and there were quite a few. She was ready to fight anyone who tried to fill Rusty's paws.
On one of our visits to Brambley Hedge a fine young guy, named Casanova was suggested as a possible companion. When Tasha met him, at least she didn't try to bite his head off. So home we went with our fingers crossed.
After several weeks of trying to bond Tasha and Casanova we were at our wits end. By then we were hopelessly in love with both Tasha and the new guy. But Tasha wouldn't let him inside our circle. She nipped him everytime he tried to get close. Then he would bite back and the fight was on.
Erika to the rescue! She said if we would trust her with and not ask any questions, she would try to help our bunnies to bond. So it was off to Bunny Camp for the buns. We held our breath and left them in Erika's care.
Amazingly, to us, they were returned in less than a week, bonded, peaceful and inseparable. We refer to Erika and the "bunny whisperer" and are very grateful for her help.
